The Store Room always aims to be a positive contributor to local communities and do so through active engagement with local charities and organisations. Below are just a few of the charities we support.
Pulse 1’s Cash For Kids
Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity that improves the lives of disadvantaged children and young people affected by poverty, illness, neglect or who have additional needs.
The Store Room in Leeds hosts a clothing donation bin at our site, provides free storage space year round, and acts a Mission HQ for Pulse 1’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign. Pulse 1’s Cash for Kids help the children who need it most across West Yorkshire, the Dales, Harrogate and York.
In December 2023, Pulse 1’s Mission Christmas made sure that 16,002 children woke up to a gift on Christmas day.
Simon on the Streets
Simon on the Streets is a homeless charity based in Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield. They focus on offering practical and emotional support to those who need it, and who may not be engaging with other services. Their important work is delivered on an outreach basis directly on the streets of all three locations during the day, but also in the evening and early hours of the morning when many of the most vulnerable are struggling.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Yorkshire Air Ambulance is supported by our Leeds self storage facility and are an independent charity providing a lifesaving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across the whole of Yorkshire. The swift medical interventions provided by the air ambulance crews have a major impact on a patient’s chance of survival and subsequent quality of life.
Together Against Cancer
Together Against Cancer is an international charity that assists in the relief of cancer and similar conditions through education, therapies, grants and public awareness. It also provides membership free of charge to all cancer sufferers.
Their Education and Wellness Centre offers free nutritional guidance, practical workshops and one-to-one therapies, in order to help create and maintain a healthy mind and body.
