The Store Room maintains a long-standing partnership with Cash for Kids, witnessing first-hand the remarkable dedication and extensive support in assisting young and vulnerable individuals. Not only this, but they plan and host great days out all summer long so if you’re interested in making some summer plans while supporting an incredible charity, keep reading for more information.
If you haven’t heard of Cash for Kids
Cash for Kids is a grant giving charity that provides support to the children who need it most, across the United Kingdom. They tirelessly strive to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who face challenges such as poverty, illness, neglect, or additional needs.
To show the significance and impact of the dedicated individuals supporting Cash for Kids, in 2022, they successfully raised £20.4 million across the UK, enabling them to assist, support, and guide a remarkable 489,409 children.
Cash for Kids Lancashire
The Store Room’s Preston site supports Rock FM’s Cash for Kids Lancashire and if you would like to keep up to date with the different events they are hosting, you can follow them on Instagram or Facebook. Below are just some of the great things that cash for Kids Lancashire have lined up for the summer months.
Fire Walk at Hickorys Hutton: Wednesday 20th September
Join Cash for Kids’ FIRST EVER charity firewalk! Participants will undergo training, and when the fire has burned to red-hot embers it is raked level and prepared for the walk. One by one, participants will be invited to walk across the coals. Places are free but you will need to raise money for sponsorship. You can sign up on their website.
Go Skydiving: July – September
Do you fancy doing something extreme while raising funds for an incredible charity? Harnessed to an experienced instructor you will jump from 10,000 feet. There is a £70 registration fee, and once you’ve registered you will need to raise a minimum of £495 in sponsorship. You can learn more at theRock FM Cash for Kids Skydiving page.
London Marathon 2024: 21st April 2024
Despite not being an activity this summer, you can start getting some practice in for the marathon. Its also a great time to start fundraising - check out their page on Rock FM to apply and see how they can help you.
If you would like to support Cash for Kids Lancashire in your own way, you can sign up to become and charity champion. You will get your own online funding page and a fundraising pack. Everything raised in your area stays there helping kids who are living in poverty, supporting disability and improving the quality of life for local young people.
Cash for Kids North and West Yorkshire

Charity Wing Walk: Saturday 19th August
If you are the ultimate adrenaline junkie and are trying to find the perfect summer activity – this could be it! Do something amazing and help raise funds for local disadvantaged children across West Yorkshire, The Yorkshire Dales, Harrogate and York. Go Skydiving with Cash for Kids: Saturday 5th August
At Hibaldstow Airfield you could join an experienced instructor and take on the thrill of skydiving – an experience you’ll never forget. You will need to raise a minimum of £600 in sponsorship, which will be used to continue support for disadvantaged children locally. If this is up your street, sign up today!
